We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we correct them openly. This page explains how we handle corrections and maintains a public log of substantive changes to published work.

How to report an error

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us. Include the page URL, the specific claim, and — where you can — the source that shows the correct position. Reports are reviewed by the editorial team and, where a correction is warranted, applied promptly.

How we correct

A correction edits the text and adds a visible note recording what changed and when. Where an important conclusion has changed, we add a change note rather than silently rewriting the original. Substantive update dates are shown on the page.

This log is maintained as corrections are made:
